Topic Overview: Iterative Planning for Agile Product development
Teams who plan and deliver quality value to their customers frequently and iteratively – stay competitive. Many teams struggle to find the balance between too much planning versus too little or no planning. This interactive session will focus on the approach to iterative planning. We’ll discuss various levels of planning – such as, product roadmap planning, release planning, iteration planning and daily planning. Participants will learn more about Release planning by participating in a group simulation. Following the session, you will learn:
- The importance and benefits of iterative planning approach
- What are the various levels of planning
- Time-boxing the planning activity
- Release planning approaches.

Kamlesh is a Scrum practitioner and an Agile coach, passionate about improving the way teams function and deliver value to the customers. He has been learning and experimenting sustainable ways to improve Agility of high paced and large size teams. He is one of the coordinators of the Phoenix Scrum user group (phxsug.org). He is supporting and influencing Agile transformation at a large global organization and serves multiple, large teams practicing Scrum, XP, Kanban and some elements of Lean.
