Topic: The Product Owner Role: Have Fun With It!
The Scrum role of Product Owner is vital to the success of the Scrum Team. More importantly, it is vital to the success of the product. Because the position is so important we usually spend time talking about how the role is hard to do. The Product Owner must face the customer and stakeholders and still work with the developers. The Product Owner must understand business value and still be able to trust the technical capabilities of the team. All the information from outside the team flows to the Product Owner for filtering and Product Backlog grooming. Sounds like so much work!
And it can be very fun and rewarding.
This session will address some more interesting and fun ways for the Product Owner to do their work. There are several key techniques that can turn all the noise and responsibility into an exciting role of product development. Effective communication, working solutions with your customer and steering the Scrum Team to the right solution make the Product Owner role one of the most valuable and exciting jobs in Agile. Learn to not only value this role, but have fun doing it!M
