Topic Overview:

We are fortunate to have Jack Milunsky from Brightspark speaking. Jack is Brightspark’s COO, a Scrum master, and the co-creator of Agilebuddy. Agilebuddy is a web-based Scrum management tool that includes all of what you’d expect to find (i.e., management of product, release, and sprint backlogs, burn-downs, bug tracking, etc.). Additionally, Agilebuddy also includes collaboration features that help teams that are not co-located.

This talk is not just “another vendor pitch.” Yes, Jack will talk about Agilebuddy, but he will also talk about how they built Agilebuddy using Scrum and XP. Note that they completed the application in under 6 months using Rails, and how they used Test Driven Development. This type of productivity is worth hearing about!!!

Speaker Bio: Jack Milunsky

Jack is the Chief Operating Officer Brightspark3. Jack is a certified Scrum master, and he combines 18 years of experience managing software development teams. He is an early adopter of Agile with great passion for early stage startups.

Prior to joining Brightspark 3.0, Jack was VP of R&D at Tira Wireless where he was responsible for driving technological innovation in the company. He has held many senior positions in Hi-tech companies across diverse industries. He was the Director of R&D for Delano Technology Corp, and he also served as the Director of R&D for Symantec/Delrina Corp.

Jack holds a BSC Elec (Eng) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and completed Business Administration from the Stanford University Business School.
